The group was scheduled to perform at the Los Angeles Forum on Saturday.

Wednesday, they announced via their verified Twitter account: “Despite all efforts to follow CDC’s COVID protocols and local laws, there has been a confirmed case of COVID-19 within the Foo Fighters organization.

“Out of caution and concern for the safety of the group, the team and especially the fans, the Saturday (sic) show at the Los Angeles Forum is postponed to a later date,” the tweet read. “The new date will be announced shortly. Tickets for the July 17th date will be honored for the new date.”

It was not revealed who had tested positive. CNN has reached out to representatives of the group for additional information and comment.

In June, the group performed a concert at Madison Square Garden in New York City that was billed as being reserved for vaccinated audiences.

It was the first 100% capacity gig in the arena since the start of the pandemic and was hailed by many as a return to normal for the hard-hit music industry.

The venue has a capacity of 19,500 people, according to the Madison Square Garden website.
