Food Network shoots cooks worst season after winner’s arrest

Last week Ariel Robinson, winner of last year America’s Worst Cooks Season 20, was arrested and charged, alongside her husband Jerry Robinson, with the murder of a child in their charge. Now, Deadline reports, Food Network has removed the season from streaming platforms, including Discovery +, which airs the network’s shows, as well as the Food Network website itself.

The reality show, hosted last season by series mainstay Anne Burrell and season guest co-host Alex Guarnaschelli of New York’s Butter, challenges 16 terrific self-proclaimed amateur chefs to undergo a bootcamp »Cooking to improve their cooking skills and earn $ 25,000. Ariel Robinson, a teacher from Simpsonville, SC, won the season on August 2.

According to FOX Carolina of South Carolina, Robinson and her husband were charged Tuesday with child abuse manslaughter following the Jan. 14 death of a three-year-old girl living in their home due to “multiple blunt injuries, ”according to the Greenville County Coroner’s Office.
