After giving up the program on December 4, 2020, four-star security star Lejond Cavazos announced that he would renew his commitment to the Buckeyes.
Cavazos was initially committed to the Buckeyes in June 2018, but officially became the eighth member of the 2020 class on Friday. When announcing his disengagement, he said that the state of Ohio would remain "a first choice".
Hailing from Bradenton, Fla., Cavazos was No. 290 in the 2020 category based on the 247Sports composite ranking. He has also been ranked as No. 22 Safety and 42nd Prospect of the State of Florida.
Thanks to this commitment, the state of Ohio now has the No. 6 class in the country and the No. 1 recruiting class of the Big Ten.
