The Football Manager series sees annual releases, so it’s that time of year again, which means Football Manager 2021 Mobile is now available on Android. Typically, this annual release comes with a separate Touch version for those who prefer to play on tablets, but it looks like the Touch version has been pushed back to December 1. Still, if you don’t need a tablet interface for your Football Manager needs, you can grab the standard version of Football Manager 2021 Mobile from the Play Store starting today.
The trailer above doesn’t really show much of Football Manager 2021 Mobile, likely because it’s a mostly menu-driven simulation / management game, so there’s not much to show. in the first place. Still, I’m sure fans would love to know what has changed since last year’s release.
Mexico, Argentina and the Canadian Premier League (fully licensed) are now included. There are also new tactical models in the revised tactical system, as well as an overhauled dynamic where you choose your club captain. There is also a social component in effect which can influence the harmony of the dressing room, and there is an aspect of youth development where you can raise new players. Sega has also added pre-season prep in the mobile version, a much-requested feature.
As expected, Football Manager 2021 Mobile is priced at $ 8.99, just like previous mobile versions, while offering in-app purchases of up to $ 14.99 per item. So far, user reviews seem mostly positive, although there are a few bug mentions (not that I’ve encountered) which is expected for a brand new release. Ideally, these few bugs will be fixed in the coming weeks.
Overall, the arrival of Football Manager 2021 Mobile is not much of a surprise as new versions of the game are released in an annual cycle.
