Grabber Lime is a new version of an old favorite.
Ford claims that the Grabber lime that will be available on the 2020 Mustang does not exactly match that of its 1970s counterpart, but that it remains a bright green and attractive. Ford describes the 2020 version of Grabber Lime as "lime green on steroids".
"This color goes back to a color inherited from the Mustang while presenting it with more modern and dynamic pigments and a bold new energy," said Barb Whalen, Ford Colors and Materials Manager.
The Grabber lime will not be the only new attractive color of the Mustang in 2020; Ford is also deploying Twister Orange down the line for the new model year.
"These vivid and vibrant retro colors are trendy in design – in home furnishings, sportswear and even home appliances," said Whalen. "Aspiring and confident, these are fun and juvenile colors that indicate how you want the world to see who you want to be, and your car is an extension of that."
Unfortunately, you will not be able to drive your Mustang Lime Grabber for the holidays at any of this year's St. Patrick's Day celebrations. Ford says the 2020 Mustang will not be on sale until this fall.
