Former Louisiana Cardinals players put aside their rivalry with the Kentucky Wildcats and contribute to the burial of former quarterback Jared Lorenzen.
Lorenzen died as a result of his kidney problems and heart problems, as well as an infection, his family said Wednesday. Lorenzen was 38 years old.

He played four seasons with the Kentucky Wildcats before becoming pro. He held the Wildcats record for most yards with 10,354 career assists and served as an alternate quarterback for the New York Giants from 2006 to 2007.
Jamon Brown, a former Louisiana Cardinals offensive lineman, is one of those players who has thrown the rivalry aside to help the Lorenzen family. The current Atlanta Falcons player told Forbes magazine that he planned to give $ 5,000 to cover the funeral costs of the former quarterback.
"I suppose you can say that he was a legend and in the state of Kentucky, and for me, it's important to pay tribute to those who preceded me, that they have played for the University of Kentucky or for Louisville, "Brown told Forbes.
