A former Florida congressional candidate was arrested this week and charged with entering Capitol Hill and attempting to disrupt government affairs during the January 6 riot. Federal prosecutors allege that Jeremy Brown also helped organize transportation for his fellow rioters to Washington, calling his recreational vehicle “ground force one” and allegedly told others he could transport them to the nation’s capital. He is also accused of carrying surgical scissors and zip ties to the Capitol grounds on January 6 while wearing tactical military gear and the insignia of Oath Keepers. Brown filed for his candidacy for Congress in Florida’s 14th Congressional District as a Republican, but ultimately did not appear on the ballot, according to local station WTSP. According to the FBI, Brown traveled to Washington from Florida, writing in a panel discussion: “We have an RV and [sic] Van goes. Lots of gun ports to fill. We can pick you up. He also mentioned “PCI (pre-combat inspections)” in the thread, prosecutors said.
