Former Georgian congressman Jack Kingston said he was “concerned” about early Democratic participation in the critical second round of Georgia’s Senate which will determine party control over the chamber.
“I am worried,” he told “America’s Newsroom”. “If the elections were held today without anything happening tomorrow, we might not win.”
Polls show razor thin margins between the senses. Kelly Loeffler, R-Ga., And David Perdue, R-Ga., And their respective Democratic challengers Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff. More than three million votes have already been cast in the races, which are the most expensive Senate contests of all time. Data shows Democrats are more likely to vote early or by mail, while Republicans outnumber on election day.

Republicans have presented Warnock and Ossoff as rubber stamps for a “socialist” agenda if elected. If they win, Democrats will control the White House and all of Congress.
“They are two extremely radical candidates,” said Kingston. “Probably the most radical candidates ever to be nominated by the Democratic Party in the state of Georgia, and the stakes are far too high for us to stay at home tomorrow.”
Kingston previously represented Georgia’s 1st Congressional District from 1993 to 2015 and unsuccessfully contested Perdue for the 2014 Republican nomination in this year’s Senate contest. Perdue is seeking a second term, while Loeffler has been nominated to take the seat of Sen. Johnny Isakson, the Republican who served from 2005 to 2019 before stepping down for health reasons. If elected, Loeffler would be re-elected again in 2022.

Some Republicans in the state have raised concerns that President Trump’s accusations of electoral fraud and irregularities will reduce his base’s turnout. Perdue, however, told Fox News earlier Monday that such a speech was playing into the hands of the Democrats.

“This is what Democrats want,” Perdue said in “America’s Newsroom.” That’s what they talked about and that’s why it’s so confusing …. It would give them full control if they won those two seats. My logic is as follows. If you voted for Donald Trump in November, you must stand up and fight. Fight with the rest of us trying to get him fair accounting in the state and vote tomorrow. “
