A former NFL player reportedly vandalized his own restaurant to make it look like a hate crime and burglary so he could collect insurance money, CNN reports.
Prosecutors Wednesday accused Edawn's Louis Coughman of insurance fraud, false crime report and concealment of a license plate.
The former 31-year-old Tampa Bay Buccaneers striker is accused of using a crowbar to organize the break-in of his restaurant in the Atlanta area. According to the Gwinnett County Police Department, he also wrote "racially motivated words", swastikas and "MAGA" in the building.
