Former Trump lawyer Sidney Powell files election lawsuits in ‘DISTRCOICT’ court

A lawyer who has been kicked out of President Donald Trump’s legal team has filed a lawsuit strewn with typos in Michigan and Georgia, alleging massive voter fraud.

Sidney Powell, who pushed some of the more extreme conspiracy theories around Joe Biden’s election, filed a lawsuit Wednesday night, according to a Twitter post. Both cases have similar themes of issues with voting machines, postal ballots, and late Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chavez.

Powell was kicked out of Trump’s legal team this week after her allegations of a large Democratic plot against the president. Days earlier, she had appeared at a press conference alongside Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani, where she alleged a plot to tip the election in Biden, involving a tampering with the voting machine and Venezuela.

The pre-Thanksgiving lawsuits, which target elected officials from both states, also include other claims that forged ballots and observers cannot watch the vote count.

Despite numerous allegations of electoral fraud and irregularities by Trump and his supporters, no evidence has emerged of widespread problems that would have changed the outcome of the election, which Biden won with 306 electoral votes.

Powell also represented former national security adviser Michael Flynn, pardoned by Trump on Wednesday.

Powell’s last two trials were riddled with typographical errors.

The Michigan lawsuit, which was on the court’s website, was often marred by formatting issues that removed the spacing between words. For example: “The TCFC center lost the only facility within WayneCounty authorized to count ballots.”

In georgia complaint, which was only available on Powell’s website, the word district in the court’s name was misspelled twice on the first page of the document. First there was an extra c for “DISTRICCT”, then, a few words later, “DISTRCOICT”.

The cases are: King v. Whitmer, 20-cv-13134 US District Court, Eastern District of Michigan and Pearson v. Kemp, Northern District of Georgia.
