BALTIMORE (AP) – Maryland authorities are looking for a former actor from the Baltimore-based "The Wire" television show, who reportedly escaped police custody after being taken to hospital.

Baltimore police said Christopher Clanton Sr. was arrested on September 12 for violating a protection order and was taken to the hospital for examination before being incarcerated.

Police say he escaped on Friday. The court records show that he has three other criminal cases pending.
