It’s been a while since Brie and Nikki Bella, the Bella Twins, entered a WWE ring together. After years in WWE, the Twins announced their retirement from competition in the ring last year. However, there could be more to the story.
In their last interview with Access Hollywood, the Bella Twins spoke with hosts Mario Lopez and Kit Hoover on a wide range of topics. Towards the end, Lopez asked the twins if there was a possibility that they would return.
“That’s what’s difficult for Nikki and me,” Brie Bella said. “When we left, all of a sudden the WWE women’s titles came up, and we were like, ‘Wait a sec, this is for the Bella Twins. We are dying to have tag titles. So she and I feel like we still have a race in us, so we really want to go after those titles.

The Bella Twins left the WWE ring some time ago
Nikki Bella hasn’t struggled since her loss to Ronda Rousey at the 2018 All-Women pay-per-view, Evolution. She announced her official retirement in June 2019 after revealing a cyst found on her brain. In addition to the cyst, Bella also had a career-threatening neck injury.
On the flip side, Brie Bella hadn’t wrestled since WWE Super ShowDown in 2018 when she and Nikki teamed up with Rousey to defeat the Riott Squad.
The twins share three title reigns among them, with Nikki Bella being the longest reigning Divas champion in history. The women were scheduled to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame earlier this year before the COVID-19 pandemic caused the ceremony to be postponed.
They both gave birth to baby boys this summer. The Bella Twins are now promoting the final season of their reality TV series, Total Bellas. See the full interview below –
