Former WWE star teases surprise appearance as ‘Joker’ in Casino Ladder Match on AEW Dynamite

It looks like former WWE star Buddy Murphy is aiming for a surprise appearance on AEW Dynamite this Wednesday night … or at least, it shows up on Twitter that way.

Murphy tweeted an image of a wild card on his Twitter account this afternoon. This implies that he could be the “Joker” participating in the Casino Ladder Match this Wednesday night. AEW “Casino” style matches usually include a surprise participant in the “Joker” spot.

For what it’s worth, Impact Wrestling hinted that Murphy might be heading there. Impact executive Scott D’Amore recently hinted that we might see him and maybe former Braun Stromwan show up at Bound For Glory.

Murphy became a free agent at the end of August and he has revealed that he will use the Buddy Matthews name in the future. It was reported in July that AEW was deeply interested in signing Murphy / Matthews.

During AEW Rampage, it was announced that PAC, Andrade El Idolo. Jon Moxley, Lance Archer, Orange Cassidy and Matt Hardy will be part of the Casino Ladder Match which will take place this Wednesday on Dynamite.
