Fortnite accidentally loses a map change

[ad_1]

Epic Games has apparently revealed a pretty big map change to come Fortnite, presumably with the next Nintendo Switch game update, mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X battle royale. As Fortnite leaks, news pages, content creators and fans pointed out, a recent and official Fortnite The promo video showed a version of Steamy Stacks that is not currently in the game, but is likely about to be.

Specifically, the video shows a partially destroyed Steamy Stacks. It’s hard to draw many conclusions based on the brief video clip, but it looks like the location has either exploded or is sinking. Either way, it’s safe to assume the Golden Cube is involved.

Below, you can check out a still image from the video for yourself, courtesy of Fortnite dataminer and FortTory leaker:

As stated in the title, the speculation is that this is an Epic Games error i.e. accidental leak. That said, for now, it’s just a guess. It’s also possible that this was a deliberate teasing, but if so, it’s a bit unconventional on the part of Epic Games, which are known to indulge in teasing, but not that way.

At the time of publication, Epic Games has not commented on any of this, the video clip, or the speculation it has created. We don’t expect this to change for various reasons, but if it does, if Epic Games provides any kind of comment or follow-up, we’ll make sure to update the story accordingly.

Fortnite is available for free via Nintendo Switch, mobile phones, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X. For more information on the popular free-to-play Battle Royale game, click here.
