Fortnite: Epic teases the Avengers: a crossgame event in the final starting this week

With the latest and probably the biggest film in the Marvel film universe expected this week, Epic Games has teased Fortnite's next crossover event: Battle Royale. Like last year, like the release of Avengers: Infinity War, a sort of event or game mode will debut at Fortnite later this week. A tweet of the game account with the hashtag #FortniteXAvengers quotes the slogan "All that is needed" from Avengers: Endgame and gives a release date of April 25, the day of the first public screenings of the film.

The tweet was accompanied by the image you see below, with a fortunate character holding Captain America's iconic shield. Epic unfortunately has not provided specific details on what to expect, but it would be a surprise if the Cape Shield does not appear in the game of the Royal Battle in some capacity. We might be able to see how Epic tackled last year's Infinity Gauntlet mode, which included no Avengers skin. (If so, expect them to be premium items in the game store, not an added item in Battle Pass of the current season, which is coming to an end.)

This crossover event coincided with the release of Infinity War. The game mode allowed you to equip the legendary Infinity Gauntlet (which would crash early on the map) and turn into Thanos, allowing you to play as the big villain of the MCU. But if you expected the Gauntlet Infinity to be powerful, it was deemed far too powerful and was flummoxed almost immediately, helping to get more players to grab a hand just to get their hands on it. Nevertheless, this mode allowed Epic to adopt a very different way of playing, because instead of the standard royal battle stream, the players hastened to get their hands on the powers of the Gauntlet.

The community had suggested that the Infinity Gauntlet mode, limited time mode, could come back for Endgame output. This teaser does not confirm the return of this LTM in the game, but it shows at least that Fortnite does not let the conclusion of the Infinity saga go unnoticed.

Epic introduced the Infinity Gauntlet mode after the Russo brothers, directors of Infinity War (and Endgame), contacted the company about the possibility of collaboration. Both had become fans of the Royal Battle game during the editing process on IW. These types of crosses are not common in the free game Battle Royale, although there have been things like a concert in the game DJ Marshmello.

Avenggers Endgame arrives April 26, with some screenings scheduled for the evening of April 25. Spoilers have begun to flow on the Internet, making the two days very dangerous for fans who want to be surprised when they see the conclusion of this story a decade. The directors of the film have politely asked everyone not to spoil the pleasure of others, but we have also put in place practical tips to avoid being spoiled.

Meanwhile, Fortnite is gearing up for its next big seasonal change – marking the end of Season 8 and the start of Season 9 – with runes appearing around the island. Over the weekend, they began to infiltrate rooms in a giant vault under Loot Lake, announcing the arrival of Something. We will have to wait to find out what. In the meantime, you can continue to play and take on challenges to win what you can from the current Battle Pass, which will disappear once season 8 is over.
