Fortnite reaches 200 million players

In case it was not already clear, many people play Fortnite. Epic has now shared some additional details about the popularity of the Royal Battle game.

The developer confirmed to the the Wall Street newspaper 200 million players worldwide have already been affected, which is a 60% increase over the 125 million players announced by Epic in June. It's a very solid growth. In addition, Epic also confirmed that the game had reached a record of simultaneous users of 8.3 million players, against 4.3 million simultaneous players in February.

It's not clear whether the 200 million and 8.3 million simultaneous players cover both the free Fortnite: Battle Royale mode and the Save the World pay mode. Whatever the case may be, the royal battle mode is surely much more popular.
