Fortnite reveals first look at Ant-Man

Epic Games just revealed the first look at Fortnite version of Ant-Man, but if you didn’t watch carefully enough, chances are you missed it altogether. The game’s Twitter account shared a teaser that said another Marvel skin was coming and was hiding Ant-Man in the image for players to find before he arrived. This tease fits in well with the appearance of a new portal and past references to Ant-Man that suggested he would arrive soon.

The image below may be the one that Fortnite players remember early 2020 when Deadpool and X-Force skins arrived Fortnite. It shows Domino, Cable, and Psylocke in that order, but there’s another character hidden in the picture if you look at Cable’s arms.

Like many players underlined for others who haven’t caught the tease in the X-Force picture, it’s definitely Ant-Man sitting on Cable’s arm just below his elbow. He’ll of course be a full size when added to the game, but he’s a smart tease to hint at his arrival. He looks like he’s wearing the classic outfit people will expect him to be in when he’s added, but it’s hard to make out the details given the small size of his presence in the teaser.

Although Ant-Man has now made his first Fortnite The look and tweet, including his likeness, mentioned Marvel characters directly, gamers already suspected that he would be added to the game next. Even before his portal officially appeared in the game, the portal was discovered in the game files with the codename “SmallFry” which immediately evoked thoughts of Ant-Man. The Marvel section of the in-game item store was also recently updated with the apparent aim of preparing for the arrival of a new skin or a returning Marvel skin. Based on the portal and the latest teaser to appear in the game, it looks like it’ll be the first whenever Ant-Man is officially added.

It probably won’t be much longer before Ant-Man has officially been in the game for now. Fortnite teasers generally follow set patterns and move quickly once they start. It could be added as early as this weekend, although Epic Games will be sure to let players know when it becomes available for purchase.

After the addition of Ant-Man, we still have a lot of skins we’d love to see before Season 6 kicks off or sometime after.
