Fortnite's dog caresses herself

Fortnite The latest update brings aerial combat, but it has also quietly introduced what should have been a very welcome feature: the ability to pet dogs (and cats, as well as other animals). Too bad, then, that it sucks.

This is not a pet. This is, as Riley called it, a "sweep". It looks like a famous melee attack. This seems disdainful, unlike what a hug should be with a dog. It looks like he is hitting the dog with the back of his hand or opening a door.

(In fact, it can work literally "open a door" animation).

Just to make sure it was not an isolated case, GoGoGamer went and petted all animals, and it's the same. You approach an animal, you receive the "pet" prompt, your heart flies off, then … a sudden, and nothingness.

Epic, if you want to let us pet the dogs, let them pet.
