Epic, the brave underdog who bravely fights companies with even more billions of dollars in the bank, has confirmed another high-profile collaboration for Fortnite. This time around, it’s not another notable gaming brand, or a Hollywood star, but more of a high fashion brand.
Deployment at 5pm Pacific / 8pm EST today (September 20) is a “digital mode” collaboration with Balenciaga. Being the inexpensive t-shirts of a supermarket guy, we had to research details of the fashion house, which is headquartered in Paris and at last count had over 1,300 employees around the world.
The lineup will include various outfits, bags, pickaxes and more to get for free, win, or buy. The game also adds a Strange times Featured Hub for a week starting September 21, where you can pose and try to complete challenges.
Surprisingly, Balenciaga offers real versions of the fashion for sale, which are mainly hoodies, hats and more. Looking at the store page from the UK we can see that a hoodie costs £ 550 and a cap costs £ 295; a little more expensive than going out to local stores for a new hat.
Strange times indeed …
