Fortnite's new patch adds airstrikes to the game

The latest content update for Fortnite patch v9.30 is here. This time, Epic adds air strikes.

The new element of this patch is literally called Air Strike and it's a little box of colorful smoke. When you launch it somewhere, it marks that area and, seconds later, the sky opens and throws missiles at your target. A total of 20 missiles will fall for each airstrike you use.

Although these missiles are dangerous for the players – they will deal 75 damage in one go – their 200 damage to structures means that air strikes will erase the buildings created by the players in an instant. Fortunately, these weapons seem to be quite rare and seem to come from a legendary variety.

Weapons and Objects

Strike the air

  • A colored smoke cartridge launched over the missiles.
  • Once the cartridge is immobilized, the missiles will appear after a short delay.
  • The missiles appear about 120 meters above the smoke cartridge.
  • The missiles aim at random points within a radius of 9 meters around the launched object.
  • A total of 20 missiles are generated.
  • Each missile has a blast radius of 3.5 meters.
  • Each missile deals 75 player damage and 200 structural damage.
  • Can be found among Floor Booty, Chests, Drops of Supply, Vending Machines and Llamas.
  • Drops in stacks of 1.
  • Maximum stack size of 2.
  • Legendary variant.

  • Night fight with silent weapons.

Classical squads

  • Classic Battle Royale with only weapons and items from Seasons One and Two.

Duos in solid gold

  • Fight to the end with legendary weapons!

Catch Squads

  • In this mode, all weapons have been removed. The only weapons are grenades and other objects that can be thrown or thrown.

Blitz Squads

  • Immerse yourself in this fast mode with limited time! You better keep moving forward because the Storm never does.
