MANDAN, ND – Mandan police said they found four bodies in a property management business in the southeast of the city as authorities responded to a medical appeal issued on Monday, April 1.
Mandan police officials said the incident was treated as a multiple homicide. The victims were three men and one woman, according to Mandan police chief Jason Ziegler.
"My heart goes to the families of the four victims," said Ziegler. "This is not something that we wake up Monday morning and that we expect to receive the call."
Ziegler said the investigation had shown that the deaths did not result from a murder-suicide, and that the authorities are looking for the person responsible for the murders.
"Nothing indicates that the general public is in danger," he said.
Mandan Police is conducting an investigation with the help of the North Dakota Criminal Investigation Bureau.
The Morton County Sheriff's Office is also assisting.
