Fox News accuses NRA's chief of corruption

A Fox News host went to National Rifle Association chief Wayne LaPierre on Sunday, accusing him of being part of the BC swamp and harassing the loving members of the group.

In the segment – titled "Swamp Watch" – the presenter presents LaPierre as "a man who exploits for his own enrichment one of the most deeply held beliefs of American patriots".

The host in question is Steve Hilton, a conservative British who is moving away from the Fox News mainstream.

Hilton looks into the charges against the NRA boss, detailing cases in which LaPierre allegedly misappropriated non-profit funds for his own lavish needs.

Recently, this included an abortive attempt to apparently use the NRA's money to buy a $ 6 million Texas mansion for LaPierre and his wife following the Parkland Massacre. Private LaPierre, always vigilant, feared for his safety after the massacre and asked for a luxurious security space that would protect him from the masses.

The NRA denies the allegations.

For Hilton, this is an example of what LaPierre is "an odious little grifter". This is still Fox News, and the report suggests that the alleged actions of LaPierre undermined the Second Amendment's defense movement.

"It's time he leaves," Hilton said.
