NEW YORK (AP) – Former Trump administration Larry Kudlow joins Fox News amid reports a colleague, former White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany, will soon be joining him.
Fox announced Tuesday that Kudlow, a former CNBC personality who served as director of the National Economic Council in the just-ended Trump administration, will host a weekday program on Fox Business Network and be a commentator on all Fox platforms.
Even though former President Donald Trump has been somewhat bitter on Fox in the last few months of his administration, the network remains popular with his fans.
Kudlow’s experience and “her intuitive on-air presence will add depth and knowledge to our business analysis programming,” said Suzanne Scott, CEO of Fox News Media.
Kudlow, in a statement, said Fox was among the first news organizations to understand the importance of the relationship between Washington and Wall Street.
McEnany, Trump’s last press secretary, had worked at CNN before joining Trump.
In a public financial disclosure report filed with the US Bureau of Government Ethics, McEnany said she had an employment contract with Fox News, which was due to begin in January. The report was first published publicly by the Citizens for Ethics organization.
McEnany signed the report, attesting to its accuracy, on January 12 – which would mean she had agreed to work for the news agency while still being employed by the government as the person most responsible for disseminating the news. news from the administration to the general public.
Fox said Tuesday that McEnany was not an employee of Fox.
The network and McEnany had initial conversations after the election, but put them on hold, according to a person familiar with the matter who spoke on condition of anonymity because the person was not authorized to discuss personnel issues.

McEnany did not immediately respond to messages seeking comment.
Fox announced on Sunday that one of McEnany’s predecessors as White House press secretary in the Trump administration, Sarah Sanders, was leaving as a network contributor because she was running for governor of the ‘Arkansas.
