Fox News host Jeanine Pirro returns to the airwaves after an absence of two weeks following comments that cast doubt on the loyalty of a Muslim parliamentarian.

"Justice with Judge Jeanine" returned Saturday. The former judge and prosecutor thanked his viewers but did not directly discuss his apparent suspension.

Pirro asked the radio on March 9 whether the traditional Muslim headdress of Rep. Ilhan Omar said that the Democrat of Minnesota conformed to the Islamic religious law that Pirro described as "antithetical to the US Constitution."

Pirro later said that she had simply tried to start a debate. She added that being Muslim does not mean that a person does not support the Constitution.

Fox said at the time that he "strongly condemned" Pirro's comments. The network did not explain his subsequent absence, refusing to comment on what he called "internal planning issues."

A message was sent to a spokeswoman for the Fox Sunday about Pirro's return.
