In addition, the town hall says it will verbalize all scooters impeding access to public roads or pedestrian traffic. They can park on the sidewalk specified, but in an orderly manner, so as not to be verbalized or impounded.

A mobilization campaign

This is a subject still under discussion, says Emmanuel Grégoire. "Before that, we must resolve the legal vacuum and the lack of legislation on these devices," he explains.
The capital also intends to broadcast an important communication campaign on the subject. Wear a helmet (it is not mandatory), comply with the Highway Code, pay attention to pedestrian profiles to anticipate differently depending on whether they are elderly, children or people with disabilities. Opening of a debate on the fee
In addition, the City Council enjoins the various players on the market (Lime, Bolt, Bird and Wind) to sign a charter – on the model of that of self-service bicycles – to support "at best these new soft mobility and innovative ". Last measure announced yesterday: the opening of the dialogue on the royalty. "These new services use the public space for the purpose of commercial exploitation," she says, adding that the debate will be opened during the mobility law bill very soon. Market players have not yet expressed themselves on the subject, says the first deputy.
