Criminals took control of 32 tons of rapeseed from a cooperative in Lanta. Despite the local celebration, no one noticed anything. An inquiry is opened.

"It was 9:30 am Sunday morning when I arrived there, says Thomas, storekeeper of the Lanta site. I realized that the padlock of silo # 5 before was broken. There was still rapeseed on the ground. The thieves had used it. "

"The silo contained food-grade rapeseed. It can only be used to make oil and not fuel for example, says the storekeeper. It is trading at around € 320 a ton. The damage is therefore € 10,000. But it could also have contained durum wheat or soft wheat. "

The Arterris cooperative has about sixty members on its Lanta site. Yesterday, the ballet of the trucks loading and unloading the silos had not ceased.

With 32 tons of rapeseed on the arms, thieves must now sell the stock. "All the cooperatives have been warned of this robbery and will be vigilant.
