ISRAEL-PALESTINIAN CONFLICT
An Israeli soldier was killed on Friday by Palestinian gunfire in or near the Gaza Strip, for the first time since the last Israeli-led war in 2014. Four Palestinians, three of them Hamas "fighters" were also killed on Friday by the Israeli army during intense shelling as replicas of Palestinian gunfire against IDF soldiers.
