Paris – The Cofidis team left Nacer Bouhanni on the sidelines and chose to focus their group in the Tour de France on Christophe Laporte with the aim of winning a stage.
Bouhanni was given another horizon, the Vuelta.

Although Bouhanni has won stages in the Giro and Vuelta in the past, he has never been able to achieve the same performance in three participations in the Tour (2013, 2015 and 2017). His best result was two fourth-place finishes last year at Vittel and Paris.
