The Superior Council of the Judiciary (CSM) on Tuesday gave a favorable opinion to the appointment of François Molins to the position of Prosecutor General of the Court of Cbadation, one of the highest of the judicial authority, said today the competent body in the management of the career of magistrates. François Molins became known to the general public as head of the antiterrorist prosecutor's office and by his detailed reports after the attacks that have hit France since January 2015.

The current prosecutor of Paris, whose name was proposed by the Minister of Justice Nicole Belloubet, should succeed Jean-Claude Marin, reached by the age limit – he will have 69 years in August. François Molins' mandate to the public prosecutor's office is supposed to end in November and it seems unlikely that he will leave this sensitive position until his own successor has been appointed. The name of the current Lyon prosecutor, Marc Cimamonti, is the one who returns with the most insistence in the corridors of the courthouses to succeed him.
