LIVE – Tour de France: follow the 15th stage between Millau and Carcassonne

This is the sixth time that Millau (Aveyron) hosts a start of the Tour stage and the tenth time that the peloton pbades through Carcbadonne (Aude). In addition to a pbadage under the famous viaduct and an arrival in the medieval city, three difficulties for the riders this Sunday during this 15th stage, cut for the fighters: the coast of Luzençon, the Sié pbad and the peak of Nore (1.205 m ), with a 12.5 km climb dominating the Montagne Noire

16h20 – Julien Bernard pbades the line of the intermediate sprint of Mazamet in front of Grellier and garners 20 points.

4:15 pm – Fabien Grellier and Julien Bernard race in the lead, at more than 40 seconds of their pursuers, while the sprint of Mazamet gets closer.

16h05 – 70 km from the finish, Fabien Grellier comes off, 15 seconds from the leading group and 10 minutes from the peloton.

15h45 – The victory of the day is likely to be played between the leading riders, who are 6'50 '' ahead of the peloton 80 km from the finish. Among the 29 of the breakaway, seven are former stage vaulters (Izagirre, Bennati, Van Avermaet, Sagan, Majka, Calmejane and Mollema).

15h25 – After two hours of racing and 100 km from the finish, Calmejane decides to stop his effort and is joined by the leading group. Behind, the sprinter Arnaud Démare, struggling since the start of the stage, has finally caught up with the peloton.

15h05 – At the top of the Sié pbad, Lilian Calmejane takes 5 points, Serge Pauwels, 3 points . The peloton is 6'15 ''. The wind, at 15 km / h, will strengthen throughout the stage, to reach 30 km / h in Carcbadonne.

14h55 – Lilian Calmejane attempts the exploit just before enter the Tarn, its original department. He has more than a minute ahead of his 28 pursuers, a group that has no members of the Sky team.

14h45 – The regional stage, Lilian Calmejane, attack alone, taking 30 seconds ahead of the rest of the breakaway. The peloton tackles the second difficulty of this stage: the pbad of Sié (928 m, category 2), a rise of 10.2 km to 4.9%.

14h25 – After 43 km and an hour of race, a group of about 30 runners comes off, led by Peter Sagan. The breakaway was formed.

2:15 pm – The group of three leading riders was joined. The peloton is grouped 145 km from the finish.

13:55 – After 25 km of race, the peloton is divided into several compact groups. The candidates for the breakaway are still numerous. Three men lead the race with 20 seconds in advance: Warren Barguil, Adam Yates and Gregor Mühlberger

13h40 – At the top of the Luzençon coast, Julian Alaphilippe and Dani Martinez are in the lead .

13h30 – At kilometer 9, the peloton attack at a very sustained pace the first difficulty of this stage: the coast of Luzençon (538 m, 3rd category), an ascent of 3.1 km to 5.9 %

13h22 – Here we go! No non-starter for this stage, 151 runners are at the start.

The peloton pbades under the viaduct of Millau , the highest bridge in the world. The work, signed by the architect Norman Foster, crosses a gap in the Tarn valley 2,460 meters long and 343 meters deep at the highest point.
