Ségolène Royal has decided to reappear in the public debate to accuse the government of transforming ecology into punitive ecology through rising taxes on fuels.
Former Minister of the Environment Ségolène Royal denounced the " pretext "Ecological advanced to justify the rise in the price of diesel and diesel. She believes that the Minister of Economy Bruno Le Mayor " seeks to justify a tax blunder by ecology And that he is not honest use the ecology to make his extra taxes ".
But Ségolène Royal has a short memory.
She has forgotten that she is no stranger to this government tradition of spending blithely on one side, and then heavily taxing taxpayers / consumers via fuels for example … to recover money. And it is the role of the Ministry of Finance that must balance the accounts of the state (and therefore taxpayers).
The punitive ecology of Mrs. Royal
Would Mrs. Royal have forgotten that she made delirious choices including the "ecotax" failed that cost at least 10 billion euros to taxpayers during his time at the Ministry of Ecology?
And who will pay for the slate so left and where to find the money?
Answer: in the taxpayer's wallet via taxes.
Admittedly, this fiasco was voted by the parliamentarians under the five-year term of President Hollande. But who supported this "punitive" ecological project for carriers, and therefore for all consumers?
Even if it is true that political ecology wants to punish the French to consume (and soon to exist?), Mrs. Royal still has a sacred knack to accuse this government of doing the punitive ecology while it voted for the Energy Transition Law for Green Growth (LTECV) in August 2015.
The latter is precisely to support any cost ruinous renewable energy (according to the Court of Auditors, it is still … 121 billion euros), including wind turbines and photovoltaic panels (including the famous solar road) that the French will have to pay for at least 20 years.
The consequences of "his" law "green"
Following this law, which was welcomed by Ms. Royal, the former industry minister Jean-Pierre Chevènement criticizes the harmful consequences of this LTECV on October 21, 2018 in these terms:
" EDF is preparing a plan to close at least half a dozen nuclear power plants. Have we seen anywhere in the world a country that is so distrustful of its own capabilities and so damaging to the credibility of its industry?
France had acquired at the end of the last century a remarkable mastery of the complete cycle of nuclear energy. The industrial tool established over generations was a major badet of our country in the international competition.
As a result of orientations taken at the beginning of the previous five-year period, this badet is being completely ruined. (…) Have we seen anywhere in the world a country that is so distrustful of its own capabilities and so damaging to the credibility of its industry? "
If, for Ségolène Royal, spoil the industrial tool of France through a law (LTECV) that applies to the detriment of all French is not the punitive ecology, so what is it?
Perhaps it is just blindness to satisfy its ecological fiber and its political ambitions for the next European elections?
A "politics" can mean anything …
Meanwhile jobs promised in the energy transition and renewable energy have disappeared in the air. But in politics, especially in political ecology, the promises are binding only those who listen to them … and want to believe in them.
After inciting the French to no longer heat themselves with electricity, which favors gas, it would be indecent, in addition to fuels, to talk about the gas increase of 7.45% in July and 3.45%. % in October, mostly due to higher taxes to pay for Mrs. Royal's hazardous energy transition.
The former Minister of Ecology named "ambbadador of the poles" by the grace, and with the support of François Hollande should continue to slide on the ice in Lapland.
In the distance, far away, it should be forgotten, and forget the mismanagement she left behind, including Poitou-Charentes.
And then there, at least, it can exercise its incompetence and say anything without adverse consequences for France and Europe because nobody listens.
