Design, finishes and ergonomics
Proposed version Mirror black and Midnight black, the smartphone is still beautiful and the finishes in the hair. He even allows himself to do better than the 6 reducing the size of the chin and notch. It is always possible to hide the hide, but being a great detractor of the notches, it must be admitted that this format drop of water is clearly less disturbing. Although it is still possible to hide it thanks to the software part, the interest of this function is less important since the notch is minimal. A good point for the design of the 6T so.
The only negative point that can be raised at the appearance of this small notch is the disappearance of the notification LED which can be frustrating when you do not want to miss any SMS / mail.
The software part
The 6T runs under Oxygen Os version 9.0 based on Android Pie. As usual with OnePlus, this OS facilitates the life of the user by proposing in particular the gestures of navigations who are so dear to the brand and so practical to us. Overall and without going into details, the differences between 6 and 6T in this area are minimal.
Daily
OnePlus installed a 3700 mAh battery with fast charge, giving a little more autonomy compared to 6 who had a battery of 3200 mAh.
The other important point and the big novelty of the 6T is the integration of the impression sensor under the glbad of the screen. The smartphone is unlocked in less than 0.50 sec with an error rate that is very low! This is a technological advance that represents the future of smartphones, and it is clearly more practical than the rear sensor. It is a good add-on to unlocking with facial recognition that allows you to use the smartphone directly after taking it in hand.
Regarding the photo part, the hardware is similar to the OnePlus 6. Following feedback from users had feedback on the photos in low light, so they worked on nightscape, a system that allows you to take better photos by reducing the noise of clichés. A lot of work has also been done on the portraits with the photographer Kevin Abosch and the Lightning Studio which allows highlighting certain parts of the face to improve the quality of portraits. In fact, it is true that the photos of nights are exploitable when they are taken in good conditions, ie without a powerful light source on the picture. During the day, the pictures of 6T are up to our expectations and are quality.
In conclusion
As usual, OnePlus offers a versatile phone, ideal in all situations and offers a very good value for money. Offering technologies that are only beginning to appear among competitors and smartphones over 1000 euros, the 6T also makes the effort to minimize the size of the notch in order to have an even more pleasant design. A quality smartphone for a price, OnePlus keeps its promises once again!
