The TF1 group has signed a new agreement concerning the distribution of its channels in the Cbad + Group's offerings, thus putting an end to a commercial dispute that led Vivendi's subsidiary to deprive some of its subscribers of the "Une" at the beginning of the year. 'year.

In a joint statement, the groups Cbad + and TF1 announced Wednesday that a new partnership had been signed allowing the channels of the group of the One (TF1, TMC, TFX, LCI …) to be broadcast in all offers of the encrypted channel, including myCbad. "Enhanced services and features", such as extended replay or previewed content, are also planned.

In addition, this "global distribution agreement" is accompanied by a "new extended partnership" between TF1 and Dailymotion, the video sharing platform that belongs as Cbad + to the Vivendi group. No financial compensation has been specified.

TF1, which wants to monetize the broadcasting of its channels by third parties, had already managed to get along with the four groups of French telecoms (Bouygues Telecom – another subsidiary of the Bouygues group -, Free, Altice / SFR and Orange). Discussions with Vivendi's subsidiary, started in 2017, had degenerated at the beginning of the year by turning into a commercial arm wrestling. In particular, Cbad + refused to pay for the broadcasting of free channels via DTT. The Cbad Group had decided in early March to cut the broadcast of TF1 to its subscribers, causing an uproar among some viewers.
