Android P: the official name is confirmed (and it has only one task)

So , in the great tradition of Google to name its versions of its operating system after treats, Android 9.0 would be referred to as Android Pistachio.

Better Battery Management

Present at the Google I / O in May, Android P will benefit from an "Adaptive Battery" feature. This one will control the battery so that it is not used by the applications which you never use.

Android Pistachio (if it is really his name) will also rely on the machine learning to study your preferences concerning the brightness of the phone, and thus adapt it automatically depending on the ambient light or the time of day (always according to your preferences and habits).

Side gestures commands, Android Pistache will seek to save time in the user by suggesting actions, according to his habits of use. Plugging in headphones, for example, will result in a proposal to resume playing your playlist while listening. Finally, Pistache includes an option to help you "let go" of your smartphone, called "Do not disturb". Not content to block notifications and calls, this feature stops visual actions.

The first deployments of Android Pistache are still expected at the end of the third quarter of 2018.
