A new item was unveiled in a Fortnite message, announcing that Balloons will arrive for the Royal Battle Mode.
These balloons are more than decorations it seems they will have a feature in the game, their effects would increase with the number of balloons you have.
However, all we have is a simple image of three balloons and a basic description that leaves the imagination for the moment.
Description: "Inflate balloons to defy gravity! Add balloons to increase your altitude! – which indicates that these balls allow players to float upward as if they were swept away.
The more balloons you have, the more you can climb, probably, even if the exact physical mechanisms are not clear.
These balloons will be around the map, but we do not know yet if they are instant consumables or if they can be stored in your inventory.
These balloons do not seem to be part of the current Fortnitemares event. Therefore, the next update should bring up these balloons and also put an end to Fortnitemares, which marks the end of the Halloween season.
