This is information revealed by our colleagues from Corsica-Matin: a math teacher stationed in Corse-du-Sud was placed in custody on Monday.

She is suspected of having sent photographs and badual messages to three of her former students. The teacher was released at the end of her hearing and enjoys, as any other person, the presumption of innocence.

Contacted by telephone, the rector of Corsica Julie Benetti said to have suspended the professor while awaiting the result of the investigations.

Sexual messages, videos and images

The auditions of the young woman in her thirties were carried out by the gendarmerie services as part of a preliminary investigation led by the Ajaccio public prosecutor's office and aimed at "minor corruption" and "dissemination". badgraphic images ".

The teacher is accused of having exchanged badual messages, videos and images with at least three boys aged 14 and 15 attending school at Bonifacio College, where she was stationed last year.

During her auditions, the professor partially acknowledged the facts she is accused of but ensures that the exchanges did not begin until after she left Bonifacio College. She further indicates suffering psychiatric disorders.

According to our information, since the beginning of the last school year, the teacher has been badigned to two other schools in the department, where no complaint has yet been recorded and no other student has denounced similar facts.

Discussions on the social network Snapchat

It was rumored that the case was revealed. "A supervisor stationed at the College of Bonifacio had heard about explicit photographs showing a former teacher, who circulated in the community of college students," reports a judicial source.

"The supervisor interviewed a potentially involved student who confirmed the facts and showed him a photograph and immediately informed the headteacher."

The latter initially believed in a photomontage but warned the gendarmerie and the rectorate. Audits allowed to quickly exclude a staging.

According to a source close to the survey, "the students talked about multiple videos and photographs but the exchanges on the social network Snapchat are not automatically recorded, the entire exchange could not be traced".

At the Ajaccio public prosecutor's office, only the investigations are carried out: technical badyzes are being carried out on the professor's computer and a psychiatric report has been ordered.

For its part, the rectorate ensures that the heads of the institutions concerned have been made aware of the problem and that discussion spaces will be set up with the students from the beginning of the school year.

Psychological care can be offered if needed.
