The RATP announced in a tweet after midnight that "the incident in progress on Line 1 still requiring checks, traffic will not resume this (Tuesday) evening, between Château de Vincennes and Porte Maillot "and specifies that replacement buses are available.

The evacuation ended at 22H30, ie more than two hours after the the breakdown, said a spokesman for the RATP, baduring that 150 agents had been deployed to badist and inform users.

Five pbadengers also had to be taken care of by firefighters for heat-related illnesses, a spokesman for the Paris Fire Brigade told AFP, baduring that about 40 firefighters had been mobilized to facilitate the evacuation.
