DIY at home: our tips for choosing your jobbeur

[ad_1]

We call them jobbers. Some are professionals, others are not, but they are always more likely to offer plumbing, painting, moving, etc., on internet platforms.

For which jobs or services can you call a jobbeur?

Some platforms, like Frizbiz, mainly target the work of the house (painting, electricity, carpentry or vehicle maintenance) when others, such as YoupiJob or Needelp, offer more services: cleaning, ironing, administrative help, moving, computer repair or Webdesign … On Needelp, you can even choose, for example, a photographer for your wedding.

What are the prices?

They vary according to the platforms which also take into account various criteria like the experience of your jobbeur, its notation on the site, its time of displacement. Know that you can start to use these occasional tinkerers – or regular – for a starting price of 12 or 15 euros for the small service on sites like Frizbiz or YoupiJob.

The biggest jobs like "replace a lock", "replace a switch" can be charged up to 70 or 80 euros. The customer indicates his price range but often it is the algorithm of the platform that takes care of this task for you. It is also possible to negotiate "bundles" for bundled services – such as six light fixtures and four curtain rods for a total amount of 100 euros.

How to call and select your handyman?

To begin, you must choose a platform and post your request by creating an account with email address and mobile number. The site then suggests you jobbers. You choose the one that suits you based on comments and ratings given by previous users. Look at his seniority on the site, the number of completed missions …

Some platforms set up e-reputation systems and exclude jobbers in the event of negative opinions. This is the case of Needelp, which evaluates people during an interview and verifies their identity. YoupiJob claims a copy of the identity card, the Vitale card and a bank account.

Should I declare the jobbeur you use?

It all depends on whether your jobbeur is a professional or not. If it is a professional (autoentrepreneur or craftsman), you have no step to undertake, you just pay the bill that the jobbeur is required to establish for its performance.

On the other hand, if the jobbeur is not a professional, you are required to declare his services to Urssaf. According to the explanations given by the Frizbiz platform, there are two possibilities: if the service is eligible for the universal service-employment check (Cesu), you benefit from a 50% tax credit. The list of these services can be found on the website www.cesu.urssaf.fr and includes maintenance of the house, small gardening and DIY work, school support, baby-sitting, badistance to the elderly or fragile except for medical care. Attention, the renovation of the housing is excluded.

This is the second case: if the benefit is not eligible for CESU, you become, the time of the benefit, "particular employer". If the service "exceeds 2 hours of intervention and 500 euros of remuneration, you must return the Cerfa document to the nearest Urssaf branch. A few days later, you receive a simplified nominative declaration which you then return, indicating the number of hours worked by your jobber, as well as the amount of the payment. The payment of the contributions (salary and employer) to your load will be made by check, on the date inscribed on the payment order, "says Frizbiz.

What happens if the do-it-yourselfer does damage to you or if he can not solve your problem?

The platforms work with insurance to compensate the customer who has sad adventures. Needelp works with MAIF when Frizbiz or YoupiJob call on Axa. In case of dispute, you can also quickly contact the customer service of the site in question.
