A suspicious package alert this Saturday, October 27, 2018 in a train Intercités between Paris and Toulouse triggered the evacuation of 880 pbadengers in the station Souterraine, in Creuse.

The facts took place around 17:30. Following a suspicious package alert, all pbadengers were evacuated.

Nobody after several calls

As the train rolled, an abandoned suitcase was seen, so the SNCF made several calls to try to find the owner.

After several calls, still nothing and nobody. The SNCF has therefore decided to evacuate pbadengers at the nearest station, in this case that of La Souterraine.

In a few minutes, all the pbadengers left the train to reach the station. They were then taken care of in a cultural center made available for the occasion. An expectation that caused some misunderstandings.

We are all present landed on the forecourt of the station, in the cold, with many children. Can you tell us for how long will the operation last? pic.twitter.com/t0C69QVGEu

Late declaration

The train users waited a long time: it was only two hours and a half after the alert that the owner of the bag finally showed up.

The demining team, who was on their way from La Rochelle, turned around. A false alarm to which some have thought …

At least … Yes, I'm sure it's a luggage forgotten by a traveler …
But there are procedures …

The pbadengers were able to get back to the train wagons around 8pm, to leave at 8.30pm. A delay of about three hours. The time comes for pbadengers to enjoy the meal trays ordered by the SNCF.
