We have just learned: the former deputy of Ariège and mayor of Pujols Alain Fauré died on the night of July 11 to 12, at his home in Pujols. Aged 56, this business leader succeeded Henri Nayrou in the National Assembly in 2012. He announced his withdrawal from politics in 2017.
His successor to the Assembly and political opponent Michel Larive a "saluted the memory of man, his intellectual and political honesty. He always followed his ideals, even when his party was going through difficult times – he always stayed the course, which I had praised in his time. Frédérique Mbadat who sat in the Assembly alongside Alain Fauré in the parliamentary majority from 2012 to 2017: "Words I miss in the face of this brutal disappearance. A friend, a committed man, whole, hardworking, devoted body and soul to his department, in love with life, aware of the fragility of our existence, hurt and we understand it by political life … I join the punishment of his family".
Kamel Chibli, vice-president of the Occitanie region said for his part " literally collapsed. I want to salute the memory of a man who worked for Ariège as a deputy and for his commune des Pujols as Mayor. He is a man of great value and strong convictions, always available and engaged in the field, who will miss all Ariège. " Alain Fauré was the former president of the Union Department of Socialist and Republican Representatives (UDESR) and asked Mr. Chibli to succeed him. "I extend all my condolences to his wife, his children, his family, his family and friends."
