The leak in question was spotted on Polish hardware forums. It shows the results obtained by this (supposedly) GeForce GTX 1170 under the benchmark 3DMark Fire Strike

The card would be a model signed EVGA. It ships 16 GB of GDDR6 operated by a 256-bit bus. A frequency of 2.5 GHz is emerging, a first. This is the first time such a value has been announced.

This GeForce GTX 1170 has been tested with an Intel Core i5-8600K processor. The screenshot reveals scores of 29752, 19552 and 12620 in Combined. If these numbers are correct the map is 65% faster than the current GeForce GTX 1070 and 38% faster than a GeForce GTX 1080.
However, it is necessary to be very careful. There is no certainty about the veracity of this leak. The big problem is the form the document takes. This is a photograph of a screen and not a direct capture. This choice makes it possible to modify, with a software of photo editing, the interface of 3DMark then to take a snapshot. This method has been used several times in the past to create a buzz around a totally false information.
It is important to note that this result was not found in the online database of the 3DMark application. Finally it is surprising that this novelty Nvidia already has a very explicit name and not a generic type designation "VGA".
