Gironde: Gidorland cannery must recall its products and close

Indeed, all those that perish between July 1, 2021 and June 7, 2022 are withdrawn from the sale and recalled. These include pâtés, rillettes, cooked dishes, duck thighs and muffins.

Anomalies of Manufacture

Behind all these marks, a cannery of Libournais: Gidorland . Established in Rauzan for about ten years, the company announced its definitive closing Friday, July 27, for not being able to invest and to bring itself up to the standards. This was subject to veterinary checks which revealed "manufacturing defects".

Seven Employed

If the General Manager of Gidorland, David Soulat, states that they did not disclose any "customer incident" or "germ in boxes" the inspectors considered that the equipment of the cannery was not able to ensure the safety of consumers . Unfortunately, Gidorland does not have the means to invest to rectify the shooting: its turnover does not exceed 650 000 euros. The director has therefore announced its definitive closure. This canning factory employed seven people and sold its products to Auchan, Casino, Intermarché, Leclerc and via its website.
