The inhabitants of the small village of Fos (Haute-Garonne) have seen a bear visibly lost at the exit of the commune, Thursday 5 July. An impetus of solidarity was put in place to help him while waiting to put him back in a natural environment, reports Actu.fr .

The bear was close to the old post office border between France and Spain, not far from a national road. Thanks to the intervention of the firemen and the inhabitants, the bear was able to be led up to an enclosure materialized by markup tape.

The second time in 20 years

"The priority will be the maintain in the wild and avoid at all costs that it does not go through captivity. It may also be necessary to see if it is possible to reconnect the baby with his mother, even if it is very complicated " said Alain Reynes, president of the badociation Country of the bear-Adet. From now on, the competent services will have to determine the future of the teddy bear.

In 20 years, that is to say since the bear was reintroduced in the Pyrenees, this is the second time that this type of case arises. In 2014, a bear was found alone in Catalonia. Attempts to release her had failed and she was found dead in her pen a few months later.
