Holiday Departures: Smart Bison sees red on the roads

The traffic looks very complicated this Saturday in the direction of departures. It will be a little more fluid in the sense of returns.

We'll have to wait patiently before seeing the sea. Bison Futé has planned a complicated weekend on the roads for this third weekend of the holidays. "Saturday will be the hardest day for a long journey and traffic problems are expected on the country's main roads in the direction of departure," says the traffic forecasting agency.

A peak of traffic jams around 14h

Unsurprisingly, the biggest slowdowns are expected all day long on the A7 motorway heading south between Lyon and Orange. The peak is expected around 14h.

At the exit of Paris, traffic jams are also planned on the A10 motorway, towards Bordeaux. Finally, on the A9 motorway, between Narbonne and the Spanish border, traffic may be slowed down much of the afternoon.

In the direction of the returns, the traffic looks a little more fluid since Bison Futé clbadified the orange day. The organization still plans "significant congestion phenomena, especially on the A9 motorway along the Mediterranean, then in the Rhone Valley on the A7 motorway towards Lyon."

For Sunday, traffic will return to normal, with a two-way green day by Bison Futé.
