Vitré, in Ille-et-Vilaine, will become the nerve center of Agromousquetaires. The general management of the industrial cluster of the Intermarché consortium has indeed decided to create the "Agro hub", a center of expertise, in this small town, some 40 kilometers east of Rennes. where most of the central services will be grouped, in the logic of building a more integrated group. With the industrial management, those of the information system, human resources and payroll, overall 150 employees will be concerned.

Promoting transversality

Some of them are already on site, in temporary premises, others will arrive in 2019 from different factories or head office, in Bondoufle (Essonne), to join a brand new 3,000 sqm commercial building that Vitré Communauté has built close to the TGV station. It will then be sold to private investors. "The goal is to promote transversality" explains to the management of Agromousquetaires

The movement is obviously not fortuitous. In addition to the geographical position of Vitré, 1 h 30 from Montparnbade station by TGV, the city is also the birthplace of the slaughterhouse SVA Jean Rozé, one of the jewels of the group, and hosts the campus training company for the meat trades and more generally the different specializations dedicated to food. Several other important factories of the pole are located near Vitré. In this Agro hub, it is also planned the creation of a business incubator for the follow-up of young talents likely to strengthen the industrial division of Intermarché in foodtech.

Fort of 62 factories, including thirty in Brittany Agromousquetaires employs 11,000 people and has annual sales of more than 4 billion euros in France, making it one of the leading French food companies. The sales of its various plants, such as the Capitaine Cook fish cannery or the Filet Bleu biscuit factory, are mainly carried out in the supermarket and hypermarket network Intermarché and Netto, but not only.

Exports to Europe

Several of these factories export to Europe or win contracts outside the group, as was the case for the Filet Bleu biscuit factory from airlines. Number one of the fresh fishery, Agromousquetaires is also at the head of the important armament Scapêche.

Mainly installed at the port of Lorient, it has a fleet of twenty ships in which are divided 250 sailors. The species feed the tide rays of the various supermarkets of the group, which also has filleting units in Lorient and Boulogne-sur-Mer for cutting different species of fresh peach.
