He did not survive his injuries. A 47-year-old man died Saturday at 7 pm, at Lake Monteynar-Avignonet, about fifty kilometers south of Grenoble (Isère).
During a wakeboarding session (a kind of water ski with a surf), the man was driving his boat when he pbaded overboard in a bend, reports France Bleu. The ship's propeller violently hit her head, causing her a serious injury.

The victim was brought back on the bank but it could not be revived.
The victim's friends and witnesses were unable to specify the speed of the boat at the time of the accident but confirmed that the pilot had lost his balance before falling into the water.
