The iPhone X reigns supreme in the used smartphone market, says a specialized company. Several months after its release, Apple's smartphone continues to generate strong demand and still sells for gold.
According to B-Stock, an American company specializing in second hand products, the iPhone X still sells on average 85% of its initial purchase price on second-hand market "Companies that buy wholesale smartphones always pay on average up to 75% of its original price" explains the firm at 9t5Mac
The iPhone X is the king of the smartphone market opportunity
This is a real record, says B-Stock. The iPhone X is indeed the smartphone that offers the best resale value and, until 9 months after its release in November 2017. The iPhone X benefits from a value of resale well above the previous iPhone at the same time in their sales cycle, says the firm. Sold at a starting price of 1159 €, the iPhone X still generates a strong demand on the second-hand market.
The B-Stock figures are quickly confirmed by a glance at Ebay. Many iPhone X are available for immediate purchase between € 850 and € 1000. In most cases, the auction is flying around 950 €. So it is still very difficult to get an iPhone X in good condition below 850.
It's not really a surprise, the iPhone X being the best-selling smartphone in the world in the first quarter of 2018. For many fans of the brand, its price is also the only brake to the purchase. What do you think of these figures? Is the resale price of iPhone X worthy? Will you fall for Apple's flagship once its price has gone down a bit?
