In order to offer green electricity, the cooperative intends to purchase "Original Guarantee" electricity certificates certifying that each kilowatt-hour (KWh) of electricity purchased has been produced from a renewable energy source (hydro, wind and solar).

In a test phase with 1,500 employees of the group, this new offer will offer "guaranteed one year" rates. It can be subscribed online and free of charge as among the 27 referenced suppliers.

Ultimately, the Leclerc group plans to create around 200 net jobs in France and rely on a call center in Tourcoing.
