The Veolia Eau water distributor in Ile-de-France is campaigning again to combat the untimely opening of fire hydrants in the Paris region, a phenomenon that appeared in 2015 that complicates the work of firefighters and leads to significant loss of water

The thermometer will also climb in other regions, without necessarily reaching scorching levels. "The 35 ° C can be reached in the North, East, during the day but we must also see the night temperatures" to talk about a heat wave episode, says the Météo-France forecaster.

"On other departments vigilant yellow heat wave, the peak of heat is also expected for Friday, but either the duration of the episode or the maximum temperatures expected do not justify their placement in orange vigilance" explains Météo-France in its bulletin.

Restrictions on the use of water have however been taken in several departments of western France because of the drought, particularly in Vendée.
