Initially, the French publisher ordered a port of Asterix & Obelix XXL 2: Mission Las Vegum, action / adventure game released in 2005 on the PlayStation 2 generation which will be back on November 29, 2018 on PS4, Xbox One, Switch and PC. Developed at the time by the Lyons studio Étranges Libellules, now gone, the game will be released in different editions, including a limited 3 small figurines for 49.99 euros (PS4, Xbox One , Switch) and a collector including a resin figurine of 15 centimeters for 99.99 euros and other surprises (PS4, Switch).
Regarding Asterix & Obelix XXL 3, whose release will take place at the end of next year, Microïds has not revealed any image of the project, but we know that this action / adventure game will be playable alone or with a friend and that it will tell an original story while remaining faithful to the world of comics. The development of this new title and the restoration of XXL 2 were entrusted to OSome Studio, a Lyon team discovered a few years ago with the astonishing White Night.
